News from the Principal
Dear Families,
I trust that all families had a most enjoyable Melbourne Cup Day and long weekend, especially if you were lucky enough to have the day off work and could enjoy the racing.
Yesterday our Year 3 – 6 students attended an excursion at Scienceworks. Students and teachers were immersed in a day long STEM design challenge with a human-centred approach to “design a better world”. It was hands on with the technology materials and we made and tinkered and prototyped physical solutions to real problems. It was a fabulous day!
We congratulate our senior class on selling many delicious cup cakes recently. The amount of $278.80 was raised and the proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer research. This was there 'taking action' response from our Little Feet, Big Footprints program for our senior students. What a fabulous amount of initiative our students display and they manage to continually impress me.
The Year 5 & 6 class will participate in a Karuta card game challenge on Thursday at Our Lady Help of Christians in Ballarat. Karuta is a Japanese card game and we wish our students well in this competition.
I look forward to seeing you at assembly on Friday where we shall reflect on Remembrance Day as part of our prayer and will observe a minute silence at 11.00am as part of the day.
Enjoy the wonderful sunshine while it lasts.
