Term 2, Week 1, 2023 School Newsletter
News from the Principal
Dear Families,
It was great to be back at school on Monday and to see all the smiling faces of our wonderful students and families.
Term Two brings the lovely Autumn and early winter weather - school hats are not required so they are best kept safely at home for the end of the year. We have our wet room for children to have space for their gumboots and slippers as shoes are not worn inside during these terms to save the carpet. Children are free to have these both left at school during the term.
A reminder that we roll into Camp in Week Two for our Year 3-6 students and in Week Three F-6 swimming commences. Please ensure details on PAM are up to date for permission and medical details. Any questions please let myself, Julie or Nadia in the office know.
During this term several members of staff will be on Long Service Leave (LSL), including Miss Amanda who is away for the entirety of Term Two. Mr Lamb will be absent for four weeks encompassing the four weeks in June leading up to the end of Term, Mrs Jerram will be on LSL for the last week of Term and into Term Three for 2 weeks. Rose Russell will be replacing both teachers with Miss Georgina assisting in the last week of term. Both teachers are currently part of our staff and are loved by students so the transiton will be smooth. Any questions please see me.
I look forward to a fantastic Term 2! It's only 9 weeks long but so busy.
Paul McDowell, Principal

PAM - (Parent Access Module) User Guide
Dear Families,
Please find instruction attachment for PAM, this provides parents online access to a range of functions and information specific to their children(s), including attendance records, student assessment area and learning areas. It also allows parents to provide medical details, grant excursion and school activity permissions. Please ensure that you have updated all your child's information on PAM. Camp Wilkin
Early in Term 2, our Year 3/4 Class (1 night) and our Year 5/6 Class (2 night) will attend Camp Wilkin in Anglesea.
The camp is close to the beach and the national park and provides quality facilities that are flexible to schools with caring staff that help you relax and feel at home.
Permission slips are now uploaded on our Parent Access Module (PAM) and we would appreciate completion of these as soon as practicable.
This is always a wonderful experience for both students and staff.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is key to our strong sense of community across the School. There are many threads to the programme – both formal and informal – and all have the intention of addressing the well-being of each student at their individual point of need.
Vivian Lunt is the Pastoral Care Worker at our school. She is a qualified and a very professional and caring Pastoral Care Worker employed at our school every Thursday.
Vivian works with individual children on request, small groups and parents and families as required. All interactions remain strictly confidential.
If any family would like to access this service, either for themselves personally or their child, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment with Vivian.
