Term 3, Week 5, 2023 School Newsletter
News from the Principal
Dear Families,
Here we are at the end of week 5....... it has been a fun fortnight with lots happening in and around our school.
Once again I must mention that I am constantly overwhelmed by the support our school community gives to us, particularly in the the assistance of ensuring our grounds are accessible and exciting for our students.
We are looking forward to celebrating our foundation students with reaching the milestone of 100 days of learning. On Monday 14th August, Mrs J will be having a dress up day for the foundation students in the classroom- dress up as if you are 100 years old! There will be a short assembly at 3.20pm to acknowledge the student's hard work, dedication and achievements. All are welcome to attend in the school hall to help celebrate.
This term we will also be hosting our Art evening On Thursday, 14th September. It will go from 5.30pm until 7.00pm, we will have our music students perform from 6.00pm until 6.15pm with the launch of our school cookbook to follow. More information to follow.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Parent & Friend Updates
Dear families
On the 30th July, the P&F geared up for a big day of selling sausages at Bunnings at Ballarat Central.
Bakers Delight, Victoria Street came on board and supplied amazing freshly made bread, baked that morning. The best sausages in town (from Ballarat Meat Co.) combined with Conorpak's zingy onions provided the best snags/onion combo for Bunnings customers!
What a day! We had some amazing helpers who all pitched in to help us sell 670 sausages!
The P&F would like to thank the following parents; Pete Cain, Tim Nicholson, Luke Carey, Marcus Ruthen, Leisa Conroy, Michelle Eastwood, Dana Wade, Michelle Barnes, Ged Maher and Ciaran & Janine Donohoe.
It was also great to have families and staff turn up to say hello and buy a sausage to support our school.
Thankyou for taking the time to pop down and see us!
We made a staggering profit of over $2,300. These funds are being put right back into our school yard development.
Again, thankyou so much for your ongoing support.

Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is key to our strong sense of community across the School. There are many threads to the programme – both formal and informal – and all have the intention of addressing the well-being of each student at their individual point of need.
Vivian Lunt is the Pastoral Care Worker at our school. She is a qualified and a very professional and caring Pastoral Care Worker employed at our school every Thursday.
Vivian works with individual children on request, small groups and parents and families as required. All interactions remain strictly confidential.
If any family would like to access this service, either for themselves personally or their child, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment with Vivian.
