Term 4, Week 1, 2023 School Newsletter
News from the Principal
Dear Families,
Welcome back to school and as a staff we hope that the last two weeks have been restful and enjoyable for all families.
It is quite amazing to think that we are now beginning the last 11 weeks of learning for 2023. The Year six students particularly seem to be a little taller as they begin their last term in therir primary school joiurney.
This week we welcomed back families to playgroup and our specialists on Friday always ends the week well.
We have a few events on for the term. We have Grandparents Day, Year Seven orientation, Mission Fete Day, 2024 Foundation Orientation and Whole School Moving Day. There will also be a F-4 movie and Year 5-6 Adventure Park excursions on the same day in early December. A reminder that school will conclude for the year on Friday, 15th December at 3.30pm.
A reminder that the school calander on our website is updated regularly with events over the term if you need to check on anything.
Term four begins our use of school hats in the yard - please have a look in school bags for these - this week has been a bit wet and rainy for them, but please have them ready for the anticipated sunshine. Summer uniforms can be worn, however, if the weather is not on our side, the winter uniform is acceptable.
As we enter Term Four staffing is being finalised along with our 2024 Year Level structure. Learning for each student is personalised and we work on achieving growth across 12 months and our classes will be structured to reflect that. There will be some changes to both staff and classes and these will be shared with families by mid term. If you have any questions about your child please make an appointment to meet with me or email at school on principal@spgrodon.catholic.edu.au
Enjoy the weekend.
